THE SPACE

The historical space is welcoming, bright, and both classic and contemporary.  Modern vintage best describes the decor.  It consists of approximately 1500 square foot on the main floor with cathedral high ceilings.  It is mostly open plan to add versatility for any function.  Large Gothic windows offer this floor tremendous natural light and views of the neighbouring lush farmland and quaint outbuildings surrounding the property.  A retro-style focal wood-burning stove can also be enjoyed during the cold winter months.

 

From 10 - 120 guests, we can host intimate or larger scale events.  The Hartman also provides a majestic backdrop for your event pictures and memories.  Whether you choose to spend all, or just part of your special day with us, you and your guests will enjoy and never forget the unique surroundings of this special boutique venue. 

 
THE GALLERY (BRIDAL SUITE/OVERNIGHT STAYS)
 

The second floor, up the ornate Steptoe and Wife cast iron and brass spiral staircase, is dedicated to 900 square foot, 3-bedroom/2-bathroom space that can be added to all private events for overnight accommodations for guests, bridal slumber parties, or a bridal suite.  The space boasts bright high ceilings, gallery lighting, barn door entrances, and an eclectic mix of antique and post-modern furnishings.

 
THE KITCHEN (MAIN FLOOR)

The large demonstration kitchen is fully equipped with wall ovens, downdraft gas cook top, additional electric burners, commercial dishwasher, (2) sinks, and considerable refrigeration.  Additional chest freezer is also available on site if needed.  This kitchen is sure to accommodate most events with meals prepared in-house. 

 

The use of the kitchen can only be used for professional registered and insured catering company.

 
 
THE COURTYARD (EXTERIOR)

The side yard of the property is seasonal and available for larger events. The landscape of this area, with a generous open, yet private, manicured lawn, lends itself perfectly to the opportunity for an additional TENT SPACE and larger gatherings. So if you are dreaming of an outdoor romantic wedding this is the perfect space for you.

 
 VENUE RENTAL AND RATES

At the Hartman, we understand that everyone's vision of  their perfect day is different.  Unlike most venues, in creating your proposal, we offer our clients a flexible approach to customizing their event even down to some of the smallest of details.

Only an initial deposit is payable in order to secure your event date. 

 

Once your date is booked, you will begin the planning process alongside of one of our representatives to create your event. 

 

*Included in every booking of the venue are 'stationary' furniture pieces and décor(harvest table, stools at bar and kitchen island, seating in front of fireplace, artwork in gallery, seating in gallery spaces, large bar island, coat racks, entry table, large cake/gift/beverage trolley, washroom, outdoor garden, parking.  Taxes and gratuities are extra.

•   White crockery and elegant glassware

•   Antique and vintage décor pieces and furniture

•   Staff (services: set up, serving, bar tending, clean up, etc.)

THE MENU
 
Because it is our policy to provide you with only the best service, food, and ambiance, catering is provided through our in-house catering division.  We have standard food selections to choose from or our chef can create a uniquely deigned menu offering you any cuisine under the sun.  An industry standard 15% gratuity is applicable on food cost for serving/kitchen staff for your event.  
 
We can accommodate sit-down, buffet, cocktail, informal receptions, etc. 
 
BAR
 

We provide liquor licenses as required and organize all the alcohol for your event.

There are a few ways of organizing the bar: 

     - Open Bar – price based on per person consumption based on number of guests attending, free to guests

     - Limited Bar – price based on set limit and/or certain items (to be agreed upon)– overages paid by guests

     - Cash Bar – provided by the Hartman, paid by guests

 
PARKING

 

Our parking has provisions for up to 15-20 vehicles, additional parking is available in adjacent farm field (weather permitting only) or on neighbouring street within walking distance.
